Sustainable solutions and our work with environmentally focused firms
This month, we focus on the opportunities we’ve had to work on environmentally focused companies and applications. This is an area closed to our heart and an emerging area of specialization. We believe environmentally sound initiatives are economically sound initiatives. It is likely that the environment will be to firms today what the quality movement was to firms in the 80’s and 90’s.

ASBE portal site
Working in conjunction with B&Z Marcom, we developed a portal site for them based on the design and functional direction provided by them. The site, www.greenerfacilities.org is a collaboration by the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments. Developed in PHP, it has several features including RSS feeds, a polling questions and several dynamic functions for case studies, events, news etc. Click on the link above (or on the image to the left) to check it out - you might want to bookmark this one.
MTS Website
Another recent environmentally focused site we developed is for eco2Smart. They designed this site for MTS which is a leading organization in sustainable solutions. The site effectively communicates the rich content, educational services and products offered. It includes an administrative section to update news. Check it out at www.mts.sustainableproducts.com
Environmental Applications
We have built unique environmental applications including a platform that dynamically pulls together environmental specifications. You can view the front end at a live version on the Lees Carpet site where you will see a link for this on every product page. This allows their customers to get the specific environmental attributes for any product in their line at a click of a button
(vs. having to get this from multiple resources) The back end allows for easy dynamic linkage relationships between products and all the environmental attributes relevant to them.

Visualworks by Azul Arc
Product manufacturers are increasingly using 3D renderings to illustrate their products. This is a visually compelling option that is also environmentally friendly. Here is an example of a guest room in a boutique hotel with the floor as a blank canvas for our client to insert their
product options.
