As the holiday season begins we’d like to say Happy Thanksgiving and take this opportunity to thank all of our clients, friends and family. 2010 has been filled with many exciting and successful projects. If you are going to visit family and friends in other cities we wish you safe travels.

To kick off the holiday season in a celebratory mood, we’re happy to announce that the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) has won a 2010 Davey Award for their website that we designed and developed for them. Big congratulations from all of us to RFCI!

The International Davey Awards are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. To check out the award wining RFCI website, visit www.RFCI.com.

This is one of our favorite projects this year and we are excited to see it go live this month! Mannington Commercial’s modular configurator provides a fresh way to create and visualize custom modular flooring configurations. The application features powerful yet easy to use product search and visualization tools for all modular products. While it’s a tool for designers, it’s a cool app for anyone to checkout and it’s a lot of fun to play around with - http://www.mannington.com/commercial/

This month Social Atlanta came to town and there were social media events across the city. We did our best to make it out to a few events to gather some key insights that we can share with our clients in 2011. One of our favorite Atlanta social media guru’s spoke at Emory University on the topic, How to Avoid the Great Social Media Crash of 2011. Jamie Turner is the Chief Content Officer of The 60 Second Marketer and Co-Author of the new book How to Make Money with Social Media along with Dr. Reshma Shah.

One of the key messages that Jamie spoke about is how to take an objective, rather than a hype based approach to social media which is something we totally concur on and have practiced with our clients. Like most business initiatives it’s important to take an objective driven approach to social media. There is a simple and effective framework to measure success on criteria like brand impact, ecommerce effect, research and retention. If you can’t measure the value of your activities, then it’s hard to continue justifying them and we strongly advocate that. Jamie points to three key categories of measurement – Quantitative, Qualitative and ROI. All three of these measurements can and should be looked at in relation to your social media activities.
