Spring is always a busy time of year here at the Azul Arc offices, filled with a surplus of innovative ideas and new project launches. This season we are excited to share our latest work for two very different clients with similar needs that both involve designing a comprehensive online presence: United Way of Greater Atlanta and the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI).
United Way of Greater Atlanta
United Way initially approached us for assistance in creating an online application platform for their Early Learning Substitute Teacher Program, which aims to recruit and certify substitute teachers in the education of children from birth through age five. We responded by designing a clean cut, easy to navigate web application and accompanying WordPress website with bright color schemes that embodied the vibrancy of the organization. Each platform manages the teaching program from start to finish, including the management of incoming applicants, past graduates, upcoming training class registration, as well as a database for administrators to locate substitutes across the state of Georgia.
The application utilizes the Zend Framework and LAMP package with extensive PHP programming to meet the comprehensive needs of the client. We are proud to support United Way in their goal of increasing educational standards in Georgia, and encourage you to find out more about the Early Learning Substitute Teacher Program here.
Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI)
In addition to our recent work with United Way, we also had the opportunity to lend a hand to a longtime client of ours, RFCI. In the past, we have worked with them on building out a responsive website with standout infographics and media gallery to showcase their member company’s expertise in the resilient flooring industry.
This time around, they approached us to create a separate member section for their website where RFCI members could access resources and information relevant to the association. We worked to organize the vast amount of content provided by the organization in such a way that members could easily locate their search targets. This involved the use of universally recognizable icons and gradient color schemes to facilitate readability among members.
New Face at the Atlanta Office
Needless to say, it has been quite a busy spring here at Azul Arc! That being said, we are more than happy to introduce our newest team member, Davin Green.
Davin has an extensive history in project management and strategy, and has worked with a wide range of clients in the Atlanta area including the City of Atlanta Office of Sustainability and the Georgia Crowdfunding Association. His previous company, Green Machine, Inc, was acquired by Azul Arc earlier this year, and we now have him hard at work as the director of new projects. Welcome, Davin!
We hope that everyone is enjoying the warmer weather and look forward to sharing more new projects and faces with you as they come along.
